Lets begin with FML.
lol, i basically screwed up my phone by opening it first of all, and now im left with a decent phone that i can still call / text / internet / camera etc but the most important feature i wanted was the touchscreen, yeah my touchscreen is DEAD.
it does not work after me and my dad spent 4 hours taking it apart to "try" to replace the housing that i bought off ebay which was the G1 White version.

1) Don't buy the housing kit on ebay if the seller is located in china / japan because the parts does not match the American G1, the white case around the main part of the G1 screen doesnt have proper screw opening to secure the screen etc, The 4 piece navigation part is a bit too big and doesnt fit properly with the other parts
2) Opening that G1 is a pain in the *%FDJFDK trust me have a professional do it, and even so they could messed up, after opening it up i can see why people say the G1 was "poorly" design, you have to open up everything to change every piece of the g1 (FML)
3) This just wasn't worth it, but im still greatful for having a fully functional phone aside from the touchscreen which im still mouring over but i gotta deal with my risk take
4) The good part was that i was able to replace the keyboard keys with the white keys and the power / home / back / end key with the white ones
So finally here are the final photos, these photos were taken off my macbook ahah dont have my Canon camera on me friend has it so i cant take any professional camera shots.
Enjoy and my suggestion is that don't do it its NOT WORTH IT.
PS. What im doing now is i can only use the trackball and keyboard to navigate around my G1 im still gonna use it as my everyday phone since i dont feel like paying $140 for a deductable thru asurion insurance so ima wait it out and wait for a new android phone to come out :]]
wish me luck guys, or maybe one day my touchscreen will work again ahah.
