I was hesitant to do the update because i was worried about having my phone break. I still had rc19 mind you , but i decided to upgrade all the way to rc30 it deleted some files and it also made the phone faster. I wonder if the battery life would be improved as well. Either way i don't mind the updates as long as they improve the phone. Glad i left my sidekick for this

Congrats Shindokie. On leaving the Sidekick that is.. I finally talked my friend outta the Sidekick after owning one since V1.. Now he is totally hooked on the G1. Grown men shouldn't own Sidekicks lol.

So my phone says RC28 is the RC19+RC28.zip what I want to get to RC29? I'm assuming it would not let me update right to RC30 because I did this and it worked just like the instructions said but no update showing on the phone. So I was think if I do the 29 first then I may be able to do the 30 update.

Im like you I have RC28. ^^^ My phone keeps asking me to update. I cant wait to we (Ohio) get 3G.

These are the OTA, or Over The Air software updates that t-mobile pushes to our phones to keep the operating system up-to-date.
