Oooh, Garmin. Now that's interesting.

I really wish Nokia would stop with their Symbian lust and go with Android.

I love Symbian a lot, but Android on their handsets would just be fun.

This is a big step for android as more and more companies join the OHA. This makes androids future look much much brighter. What i would really like to see is more handset manufactures join the OHA as ultimately they would decide on what OS they would ship a phone with.

That's awesome. There are a lot of great companies in there. Sony Ericsson, Garmin, Vodafone, Toshiba, etc. I think we'll be seeing some extremely innovative products coming out utilizing android in the future!

This has to be good news. I hope some of them jump in both feet. I loved my Garmin XT software on my Dash. So, maybe we will have several options on GPS turn by turn within 6 months.

So who will put out the G2 next year?

My thoughts is that it will be Garmin or ASUS.

Ok this is a weirdish question but what does it cost them to join the OHA and are they under any obligations to it. The reason I ask is, could a rival company not simply join the OHA to find out what they are going to be doing and alter their own business plan based on this, even if there is a cost involved it might be a worthwile investment.
