YEah I got the extended battery for my shadow and man, i hope its not a hunchback like the shadow.
I hope this is True ... I was cursing my G1 today. I look like an idiot carring a USB charger everywhere I go. Today the phone died in 4 HOURS!!! .... I'm not liking the bigger back cover idea either ... I got the Invisible Shield Perfect on my phone![]()
lol don't worry what others think! There's a price to pay for such a cool phone. Why do you think Apple has iPod/iPhone docks everywhere for people, in your car, on your desk, clock radio, etc? They die just as fast too, it's just that when they are docked everywhere they stay charged up.
Its a nice gesture, but if I'm gonna get a beefier phone then, I'll be going with this:

its not free and but with that kinda increase, i'm thinkin' its well worth it.
I called T-Mobile and talked to a CSR and they said that there were no plans to release an extended batteyr and that there was definately no plan to give them out free. They just told me to use the Power Manager app. Does anyone know if the CSR knows anything about this or if he is simply trying not to get my hopes up? He also said that this was a big rumor and that he had heard it.
It would be great to see this. I think it's great when companies can take responsibility and stand behind their products. I have noticed like many others, that my G1's battery drains rather quickly. Even with GPS/Wifi/3G/syncing off. Could be the battery itself, or it could be that Android needs a bit of optimization, or both.
If HTC/T-Mobile are going to step up and answer the cries of the consumers (read: the people that make them rich {us}), then that is great. If it's going to come at the cost of a slightly thicker G1, that is just fine by me. Anybody who doesn't want their extended life battery, I'll gladly pay the shipping for you to send yours to me.
