its $199 if your contract is up... if not then you sign a new 2 yr contract and pay a modified price... stupid i know but atleast you can get the hero for under $650...

I`m buying a Hero, I must have read it wrong - The email I got offered it to me for 199 with extension.

Wow $199, what a rip off, its has the same hardware as the G1 and is missing a keyboard, and it cost $20 more.. Also now that the iPhone 3g is only $99, why would anybody chose this over the iPhone.

i cant believe t-mo adds two years to you contract. Sprint might be shady as hell but when you upgrade, your 2 year contract renews it doesnt add on! so if you renew today your new 2 year contract starts today and is only 2 years, plus sprint gives you the full $150 upgrade every year not every 2 years

tmo works the same way... your 2 years start when you buy the phone...
