why would any pay to get their phone unlocked when you can call tmobile and simply ask them to unlock it. and geuss what?? they charge 0 dollars.. so if anyone would like to donate 20 dollars to me. I can unlock ur phone too. I'll send you instructions on how to do it. press 611 on ur phone

actually, t-mobile will not unlock a phone for you unless you are at least 90 days into your contract, after that point they will unlock one phone for you every 90 days.

OMG why the Gmail doesn't sync the contacts and the emails if it was unlocked ??

that's so disappointing news

any one who unlocked his phone is it true ??? i'll receive my g1 next week !! what should i do

[EDIT] the market is working fine now.. still no mms..


i am having issues with it, so far i have gotten everything to work except for the mms and market...

that's what i understood from your post ... the at&t 3g frequency is deferent so it would not work but here in Qatar we have the same frequency so i think it would work
but the big issue is the sync process and the android market !! why ????????

AT&T here, everything voice & data related works just fine.

I used these settings:

it is all case sensitive like user name password etc the mnc setting may vary if it doesnt work for you right away try 41 15 410 or 310 my area is north jersey its 41 or leave it default if there is one when you get the riht mnc you should see a small e with arrows next to you signal bar please change all these setings as my previous posts had typos also you need to have the http:// on mmsc url

apn: wap.cingular
proxy blank
port blank
username:WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
password:CINGULAR1
server blank
mmsc: http://mmsc.cingular.com
mms proxy: wireless.cingular.com
mms port: 80
mcc:310
mnc:41, 15, 410 or 310
apn type blank

with the proper settings those work just perfectly ^_^
