NO, I would not raise a stink. I would raise a stink if (and ONLY if) the box said, controller included -- and it wasn't. If you got everything that you knew you were getting when you ordered it, and it was a good enough value for you to complete your order, then shut up about it. You (and I) got exactly what we paid for! Case closed.
You ordered a specific configuration (which YOU decided, T-Mobile didn't force you to buy, was worth the amount you paid), and you received an order that delivered everything listed. What's there to complain about???

To bad I already purchased a 3.5 converter with the mic, That looks the same as that htc one but without the HTC logo on it so I guess I can live without it. I do wish they didn't wait till now to release it but owell its the life of a beta tester![]()
what your not getting is they sold everyone the same box with the same contents only the people that got them first got what the contents were supposed to be and the people who got them latter got the same box claiming to include the same content only they got the new improved version.
No, I am GETTING it. You're not. You (and I) got exactly what we paid for. We have NO REASON to complain. Those who received something different could complain, in theory if they wanted, assuming they don't like nor want the upgrade because they didn't opt for it. WE, however, got what was promised. How in the hell are you going to complain about for having your order fulfilled?

lets go back to the xbox lets say you buy one go home it works fine your friend goes the next day buys the same thing only it comes with a game Your not going to return yours and buy a new one to get the same deal he got?
I really don't care its a 5 dollar adapter and i will buy one sooner or latter but I should be able to get the same deal others are getting.
It doesn't matter what my buddy got. I'm not a jealous, envious prick. What I care about is did the manufacturer, store, guy at the yard sale, whomever -- give me what I paid for? I don't want him to give me what YOU paid for; I expect to get what I paid for. It's really NOT a complicated topic. Whine and play the victim if you want, but the fact is -- you're not one, and neither am I.

I think what's more important than the question of fair vs. unfair is good customer service. Are early adopters like us necessarily owed an adapter by whoever sold us our phones? Probably not. But are they going to raise a stink and be more unreceptive to future releases? Are they gonna go around and bitch about how they were badly treated as loyal customers? Yeah, most probably.
Apple didn't really have to refund that $200 either, but it was a goodwill gesture that ensured that their fanbase was kept intact and pleased with the product. The same should apply here. (Though I already bought my own adapter weeks ago.)
I think T-Mobile should give this to all their G1 customers. I paid $179 (plus tax, upgrade fee so it actually came to $200) and got no headphone adapter, my friend goes and buys one pays the same price and gets the headphone adapter? I'm extending my contract two years and I have been with them for 5 years, the least they could do is send me one... and for those just go buy one they are just $5, I say why should I pay for something if I can (and should) get it free?

It's not about jealousy or envy... I dont know where you got that from... It's about getting the best deal... How about this you buy a computer that has 1gig or ram the next day you see the same computer, same price, but instead has 2gigs of ram... you could be like most people and return it and get that that extra gig for free...
