i have to agree; why are they so special. Excuse me, but I think we US'ers rate a 2GB card as well! And ooooo! my daughters are going to yell, the white phone too!

wow... that's crazy... we got ripped off stateside. Not that that's unusual or anything. Surprised the UK G1 isn't the Touch HD. Even if i did get a 2gig i would still be getting a 16gig.

though... they did line up by the hundreds. As far as i know the pre-launch deal in SF was the only one people really needed to line up for.

Now that the brits have their version of the G1, is there a confirmation about hardware video acceleration enabled in their phone, which for sure is disabled in the US version.

no - i got there 20 mins before it opened at 7am!!
i was 10 or 11 in the queue - when i left at around 8am there was a much longer queue - but probably 100 -200 customers in the morning total

The UK and Europe is a much bigger market for mobile handsets so they have 2 give better deals.
