I have a G1 and I love the phone, however I really would like to "root" the phone. I've read posts on how to do it, but I am not tech savvy at all. I'm sure I would brick my phone. Is there an easy way to do it (easy being a relative term of course), or any suggestions for me out there. First time posting, would appreciate any feedback.

Its as easy as downloading a file on your PC. Renaming it to update.zip, putting in the SD card of the G1 and then pressing couple of keys on the g1. bam! there you have root
