Isn't the cost more for the 16gb compared to two 8gb ones? Though of course it is more convenient to have a single card. Probably a good idea to hold out until the prices get lower.

i have had an 8gb in my unlocked at&t 8525 for a few months now. i currently have a ton of ringtones on it, the hulk movie, the entire kjb in mp3, alot of programs and alot of various audio files{sermons, coast to coast, music etc.} i currently still have around 3gigs free. so i'll just swap it to my g1 when that arrives. i'll wait for the price to drop on the 16gig. but it's great to know that g1 supports it.

I agree. I think I'm just going to buy an 8gb for now and wait until the 16gb prices go down or *crosses fingers* maybe simply wait until the G1 supports 32.

Wow, I just checked out prices on the 16gb and am definitely OK with the 8gb I ordered now. Like I said, for what I download, I think it will be more than enough.....for now.

I'm going to just buy another 8GB card ($27 with adapters on NewEgg), and secure the MiniSD holder behind the battery cover with the second card in it...it's just a thin plastic envelope. It'd always be there, tough to lose, easy to find/switch. Movies on one card, music on another!

mine was a class4 from supermediastore.com, which i ordered a few months ago. they didn't have class 6 at the time. not even sure if they do now, but i think class6 is the highest read\write speed. keep an eye out for those classes.

You can NEVER have enough. With more, you can DO more!

Several vendors are indicating stock will arrive on October 10, so I would avoid Best Buy or Verizon unless you REALLY like paying full retail price.

That's a great idea, but how would you secure the holder?? Do tell...

Very Cool, So glad I waited!! Yeah...$75 for 16 gig or $24 for 8 gig. But I like having it all on one card!
