Yeah, I decided to just go ahead and buy the 16 GB and use the 8GB for something else.

Isn't the cost more for the 16gb compared to two 8gb ones? Though of course it is more convenient to have a single card. Probably a good idea to hold out until the prices get lower.

Good to hear. However, keep in mind that relying on an external source such as a SD card will most likely result in about a 30% drop in battery life. That's usually the case with most devices such as MP3 players, phones, etc. I guess until the battery life is assessed in the G1, this shouldn't be a concern.
