Yet another Chinese mobile phone manufacturer has decided to create and Android-powered handset. This time its Qigi and they bring plenty of pictures. From what we can see this handset is really something to get excited about.

hmmmm....interesting.
"I'm shocked at the diversity of the people psyched for the G1. All different people united...under Android"
They're nice looking phones, but I didn't see any QWERTY keyboards. For the thickness, you would think the screen flipped up revealing a full keyboard.
No keyboard? No 3g? screen only 2.5" Not liking what i'm seeing so far.
The battery life on the G1 has left me being very comfortable with "EDGE data only", so the fact that this one doesn't sound like a real problem to me. Especially not when it has wifi (for app downloads, I can wait until I get to home, work, or a hotspot).
But the lack of a QWERTY keyboard IS a problem for me. I'm also curious in that it's chinese, but you didn't mention dual SIM cards... that seems to be a staple of chinese phones ;-)
Here's what I want in order to buy this phone:
1) QWERTY keyboard that is at least as good as the G1's (best qwerty phone I've used)
2) Outstanding battery life, much better than the G1's
3) charge/data via USB, audio via separate 3.5mm headset
4) if they offer a 3G version, with AT&T 3G, then I'd want a dual SIM card option as well (voice+messaging on T-Mobile, data on AT&T :-) ).
5) They probably can't solve this one, but it'd be nice to see the tethering issue finally resolved; if they could have any input into that, that'd be great.
only thing im jealous about is the little Android guy logo on the backwish my G1 had one.

is this not just another zzzphone sciphone etc scam?
there is no qwerty
and to my knowledge android does not support a virtual keyboard let alone any other type of input.
maybe i am just a cynic, but this smells like a scam
since android has no virtual keyboard, and this phone has no qwerty...
how exactly are you supposed to type anything?
I've heard that the phone comes complete with toxic levels of melamine.
