Re: Qigi offers a slick smarphone that runs either Android or Windows Mobile 6.1
The battery life on the G1 has left me being very comfortable with "EDGE data only", so the fact that this one doesn't sound like a real problem to me. Especially not when it has wifi (for app downloads, I can wait until I get to home, work, or a hotspot).
But the lack of a QWERTY keyboard IS a problem for me. I'm also curious in that it's chinese, but you didn't mention dual SIM cards... that seems to be a staple of chinese phones ;-)
Here's what I want in order to buy this phone:
1) QWERTY keyboard that is at least as good as the G1's (best qwerty phone I've used)
2) Outstanding battery life, much better than the G1's
3) charge/data via USB, audio via separate 3.5mm headset
4) if they offer a 3G version, with AT&T 3G, then I'd want a dual SIM card option as well (voice+messaging on T-Mobile, data on AT&T :-) ).
5) They probably can't solve this one, but it'd be nice to see the tethering issue finally resolved; if they could have any input into that, that'd be great.
