I'm in the UK and I got my update late last night.

I got it this morning, but what exactly does it do to improve the phone? get rid of a bug and thats it?

RC7 (full release kila_uk-user 1.0 TC5-RC7 112931) is actually the release I had when I took mine out of the box, and it definitely has the root console bug.

Can any of those who have had the update confirm what version they have afterwards?

TC5-RC8 fixes the "reboot" problem, beyond that I don't know. My battery life was never too bad.

To clarify. the updated version isnt RC7 its RC8.
im still stuck on RC7 in the UK, Grr !

I've just noticed the TC5-RC8 updated was created on the 4th November. What have they been doing with it for 9 days?

its actually annoying, ive been using the Anycut route since i heared about RC8 being released to the public and no luck with that either ! hop[efully i get it tonite, as its already a day over the deadline . ill keep u fellas posted
