Pretty much, the title says it all. When Google's Phone Store went down, there was confirmation from the house that built Android that the Nexus One, in effect, wouldn't be going down with it. In fact, the handset would still be sold courtesy of wireless carriers around the globe, like Vodafone. But, thanks to a new document, it looks like T-Mobile (you know, the wireless carrier in the States that supports the Nexus One) won't be included in that list.
The document is of the leaked internal sorts. And, it clearly states that the Nexus One will still be supported by T-Mobile, like in the ways of billing and customer support, but that's where the line gets drawn. Google marketed and sold the Nexus One -- not T-Mobile, and they don't have any plans to start now. That's, for all intents and purposes, some of the worst pieces of news we've heard in a long time. Hopefully you already got yours.

Well the good news is that the resale value of my N1 has skyrocketed like a pre-release game console. But now I fear for it's safety. If it gets damaged or stops working, I'm screwed. Currently there is no other cellular solution in Canada that offers me close to what I have with the N1. Small size, high-res, unlocked, root/hackable, matching car dock, and features I use (led flash, colored notifications, noise cancellation).
Things are made worst by my geographical location. I'm stuck in a province (saskatchewan) with pathetic to no coverage. For a cutting edge phone the only choice is Rogers. The competition's partially released HSPA networks don't have a GSM/EDGE/2G fallback and only offer coverage within the two biggest cities. So Google style GPS on the highway would be impossible.
The X10 is not an option for many reasons. The Samsung's seem to be all missing led flash and have poor GPS. My best solution is to track down an unlocked Desire A8183 and see about modding the N1 car dock to work with it.
Phone: Nexus One on Rogers, Kernel: 2.6.35-rc5-800mV-CFS-OC-Monks-071710, Recovery: ClockworkMod 2.0.1.2, ROM: CM6 RC2 w/car dock fix and succession mod, Radio: 5.08.00.04
Not completely true. iwireless, which is a T-Mobile affiliate does sell the N1,... STILL. I do believe there is another site also. It may not be T-Mobile affiliate though. I'll post the link soon.

So glad i got my nexus one a few months ago. I guess my G1 crapping out when it did was a blessing.
