Default myTouch 3G Android powered phone for T-Mobile

As expected, T-Mobile USA have announced theÂmyTouch 3G, their second Android handset and the follow-up to the T-Mobile G1. Recognizable as the HTC Magic - which Android Community reviewed inÂback in May - the phone has a 3.2-inch HVGA resolution capacitive touchscreen, 3.2-meg... Read more

if they cant landscape the keyboard like that article says...they r going to have an even harder time selling that phone. iphone is finally getting an update to support that and all g1 users now r used to the actual hardware. doesnt make sense because cupcake has a portrait/landscape keyboard

"There will be an on-screen keyboard - which is only available in portrait orientation, not landscape"
    Device: T-Mobile G1
Build/Rom: twisteds SHADOW HERO v4.2 (no loading screens, fast as hell, soo smoooth)
    Recovery: Cyan 1.4

ive tried every linux swap from 32mb to 96mb. 40mb is the fastest and wont slow down on u over time. TRY IT!

Current screenshots of 1.5 show that as being an incorrect statement. It would never make sense to have a smaller keyboard in portrait mode, instead of having one in landscape.

When the HTC Magic was shown to us, we were told there is NO QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode. That may or will change with the final version of 1.5x. We'll find out at Google I/O at the end of May.

Thanks to the great job Susan (AC's fearless leader) and the rest of the leads/mods - I don't have to be around much...then again, AC is our baby from the ground up, so yeah I still come around (you just don't see me). Keeping a few other plates spinning...my Pre community is coming along really well and we're expecting similar success as AC.

Chris is working hard on getting the HTC Magic to review for the community. Expect give aways around the myTouch 3G launch time frame.
