Agreed. I dont need nobody knowing where I am unless I tell them. Now a days we are losing all of our privacy. What if you just want to get away all people (your friends, family, etc) have to do is locate you. We have cameras everywhere satellites watching us. Nothing is private anymore.

If this were like a myspace to where you sign up and voluntarily give away your whereabouts then i guess that's you..

but if it were anybody on your contacts list without their permission then I think google might have to pull it off the market lOl... scary

The app can only located other people who are also using it. If you don't want people knowing where you are, simply don't install the app. Personally I like apps like this. For people who don't mind being on the grid, it's a very useful tool to track down your friends when you want to hang out.

And it can be used to keep people honest.

Ok, seriously, If I want to hang out with friends I use this cool feature on the G1 that ALLOWS ME TO CALL THEM! I don't need a GPS lock to do that. And keeping people honest? Someone has trust issues. Why not just sign up for the RFID skin tagging program that's available with the next update, RC-1d10t

Pretty sweet application idea... for those that are into it. 90% of the time though, your friends will be in one of two places. 1. Work. or 2. Home.

If you can elect to be on/off the grid at any given time, I can see some not so creepy applications for this app.

Gen Y and younger will have this on their phones no doubt.
