Google removes applications just before launch

I know everyone is upset/worried and wants their apps now...

...but lets try to keep this thread civil

...We're all here just looking for info...No need for arguments...

Yeeeeah . . . for what my opinion is worth:

I'm gonna have to keep the G1 sealed up in the UPS box until this app "oops" gets worked out. We'll see if 10/22 really does bring back the apps. Any phone that won't play video out of the box in 2008 is essentially DOA to me. I mean good grief, I had a Sprint Sanyo 8100 that had a video player hard-coded in 2005! I kinda miss that phone, actually.

So if Tmo/Google want good word of mouth from me, they will be making with the VLC/Media Player Classic-type proggies right quick . . .

Guys, this is the reason they are "gone" (from t-mobile forums):

Everything in the Android market prior to release date is beta, the market is even beta. When the phone is released on the 22nd it should have alot more on the market and will no longer be beta.

Remember, the official launch is the 22nd.

So many hissyfits, good god guys, just play with the damn phone and google will get you the apps. At least you have a phone to play with! I'm still waiting on mine, its been on the truck for delivery since 5 this morning.. I hope its not getting to hot, or that other boxes are picking on it!

An administrator of THE OFFICIAL T-MOBILE FORUMS. And Im not assuming, right now at this moment the apps arent there, therefore we are being screwed

How can you consider this being screwed...its 2 FLIPPIN DAYS BEFORE YOU'RE EVEN SUPPOSED TO HAVE ACCESS!!!!!! Has any announcement been made? No, it has not. If Google comes out and says they're removing all the good apps, then you can cry "screwed" but until that happens calling "screwed" is an assumption.

How are you being screwed? When did Google say that the Android Market would be up and running with a gauranteed list of apps available on 10/20/2008?

No kidding...and the most liekly t-mobile and/or Google will take the experience to heart. When the G2 or whatever comes along, don't expect to be able to preorder it.
