Google Buzz takes sharing realtime

When you remove the option to display your first and last name (without wanting to change it to something else) you remove your privilege to comment on other people's buzz posts and you can't "like" them without making yourself publicly searchable again. The only way around it is by changing your first and last name, which changes on every Google related service you use. At least, that's how I understand it.

hmm. that's pretty bogus if that's how it works.

Well those aren't privacy features that fix my issue with the service. I'm seriously not impressed with it.

Eh, I'm not exactly blown away by Google with this new service.

Privacy issues, no features that beat Twitter or Facebook, and it's poorly integrated into Android. I felt very similarly about Google Wave though, there's really nothing overly innovative or new about it that I can't already do.

I think that would be awesome if they add a standalone site. I notice now when I sign into my gmail account, it takes forever to load.
