If only it had a physical side slide qwerty keyboard, it would be quite the sexy Android phone. Probably the best one yet.

That combined with the dual SIM cards would be amazing (assuming it's quadband GSM). Especially if it has great battery life, even with Wifi on.

I would be ALL OVER that phone.

Any word on its 3G capabilities (Euro? AT&T? T-Mobile?)

Just re-read and saw the "tops out at GSM/EDGE". I'm actually ok with that for now, as I've been thinking about switching my data away from "built into the phone" to "using a mobile router", such as a cradlepoint or the new novatel mifi.

I find that, due to battery, I'm mostly only using EDGE on my G1 anyway. And I find that it's not that bad. So, a device that has Wifi and decent battery might be fine. And then I can have 1 data plan for both my phone and my netbook (via the mobile router).

It is going to be hard leaving the slide keyboard behind, but it doesn't look like anybody will be releasing any qwerty Android phones this year... I guess I can wait for whatever tMobile has in store for 2010...

NAH.. eff that - First multi-touch, 5+mp w/ flash and 24+ hours of high strain battery life Android phone to market replaces my G1

Follow the leader. It seems the iPhone sets the trends. Multi-Touch and styling. Soon the physical keyboard will be an obsolete antique. Don't get mad at me............just watch it happen. Also, watch Apple. They have some crazy technology in the works that will up the ante yet again. Apple is simply amazing. Open source isn't necessarily "freedom," nor does it mean "good" apps. Apps need a lot more testing than people realize, and I prefer the iTunes store for obvious reasons. We ALL use iTunes for the simple reason that it's better...........because it's Apple. It should only make sense and if you've experienced iTunes, or the iPhone, you understand. Let's hope it gets some good competition to help push it even further ahead.

Physical keyboard? Why would you want all the clunk? It doesn't make sense with all the amazing technology we have. It's like film or record players. Good for some, but not so high tech. I own a record player and a film camera, so I appreciate my iPhone even more due to being in touch with old technology.

blah blah blah, i want a physical keyboard, i prefer it that way, i've never preferred itunes, i think it in general is horrible... i don't like DRM, i never have and never will support it... until someone can come up with a haptic touch screen keyboard that makes it feel like real keys, it won't become an antique...

go away
