Wired.com took Kaz's review and put a negative spin on it!!! http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2008/1...le-g1-bug.html
"The first of the user reviews are trickling in and it is not exactly a big thumbs up for the T-Mobile G1, the device based on Google's newly launched Android operating system that will be available starting Oct. 22.
The G1 is HTC Sidekick phone "on massive steroids" but "does not run as smoothly as you would think" says a review posted by a user with the handle 'kaziko' on AndroidCommunity.com"
WIRED is really starting to piss me off!!!
ANDROID... CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN!!!
wired is freakin retarded.
dont let it get to you.
Will it be able to play .flv files? Will the web browser be able to play .flv online? Thanks for the great review.![]()
"I'm shocked at the diversity of the people psyched for the G1. All different people united...under Android"
I appreciate review. However I suspect that the reviewed phone was TEST VERSION and not final release device. The reason is - bluetooth stereo worked initially but after the upgrade the option was lost totally (!?!)
I cannot wait until 22nd to get my G1![]()

Yeah it seems they took all my cons for the whole review... then at the bottom had a very minute redemtion paragraph with the pros. Also most of the cons seem to have disapeared. The hot battery issue only applied because I wasn't using the USB cable that came with the phone. I was using my older USB cable which might have caused the problems. Also their is a mistake in my review about the instant messaging clients. Gtalk,AIM,Windows Live, and Yahoo are included, not the ones stated above... I must have typed it in my sleep deprived state of mind.
Thanks Kaziko, what about the "stuttering"? Im curious about that, how bad is it? Also the memory leak has me thinking. I had enough of memory leaks with WM.

Wired is really good, they were only stating what they got from the article. I can say that it was without a bias opinion. Based on the facts that were reported its not looking as good out of the box as expected. There is nothing in the review that can be said about what will come.
