I was getting so tired of even hearing "cupcake" until you posted this. Thanks for the clarifications.
I think I am going to call and start trying to get a free extended battery, headphone adapter, and maybe even have them ship me off a refurb. Keep up the good reportin'

finally, some real information. I'm excited it's coming out by end of January and not end of Q1. Also rly excited that there is a battery replacement program in effect. Now if only there was some legit word on flash...
