Yeah, claims to offer 15% more battery life. For $42, I'd buy 2 more spare batteries, and have 200% more battery life than normal, thank you very much

It will be interesting to see how this tests out, but 15% more juice over stock for 42 bucks does not sound too compelling... however at that point you've got TWO of them.

Incidentally, this will bring G1 more or less in line with iPhone and HTC Touch Pro battery capacities.

But if you're going to pay $43 just to have an extra battery...

I say, take the chance on CS shipping you another battery.

Then you'll have two of them right ?

I'll tell you what would be 'cool' to have -- if someone comes up with a modified cover that incorporates two more standard batteries operating in parallel. The phone would be thicker by the thickness of 1 battery, have 200% extra battery life, and weigh just another 100gms more. Not a big deal for mega-battery life.

Of course you have to factor in the cost of a battery charger for the 2nd battery.

lol, that's an exaggeration. Won't be that much thicker, but I'll be laughing at you when you run out of juice when my power meter hasn't even moved.

Any battery gurus know if this is possible with Li-Ion batteries?
