Default Android may never see a Facebook app

The appearance of a MySpace application in the Android Market without a Facebook app to keep it company may be no coincidence. Reports are emerging bringing up the bad blood between Google and Facebook. The social-networking site revealed that hey wi... Read more

[COLOR=black][FONT=Verdana]Chances are a 3rd party will probably develop the app. Also i find it hard to believe that Facebook would say such things about Google. I refer to the comment that Facebook said about Google/android. “Android sucks, it doesn’t matter.” Facebook doesn't seem to want to try very hard to keep its current customers happy...

Ah yes. Facebook is the delightful company that recently hired disgraced Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' former chief of staff...

And has had major privacy issues.. Oh, and then there's this...

I say we start a group on facebook called "Bring a Facebook App to Android" so Facebook can see how many of their uses would actually use the app. I'd start the group right now, but I have not access to Facebook on my work network and my G1 battery died about an hour ago.

UPDATE: OK, so I turned my G1 back on and had enough juice left to get the Facebook Group started. For those who want to join, the name of the group is: "Android Facebook App" If anyone want to photoshop a little graphic for the group logo. Maybe a Facebook App Icon on an Android desktop or a facebook logo on he G1.

That's bad news. Facebook can't get along with Google, and in turn, facebook makes its users suffer. What, do they want us to go back to myspace?

Fools! Facebook might as well go sit in the corner and pout...

Or join this Facebook Group ( http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=30076312297 ) that might have beat you to the punch.

I could care less for a facebook app but then I would be selfish.
Google could release an app for orkut, their "facebook"

I'm sure if Facebook themselves won't code an app, some developer somewhere will.
