No they shouldn't have gone with that one, I like the option to choose where I want my shortcuts, seems like google really wanted to stress that this was an open platform, and what better way to do that while letting users set up the background, icons, ring tones, picture frame, and much much more!

Interesting - one of these videos (the open GL one) appeared on YouTube in February titled 'Android UI looks far better than the iPhone' (below). I think it annoyed a lot of people because it was a simulation. All the screens on the Tat website look very nice though.

Not all of them are Android concepts, just the one. They do concepts for tons of phones.

This looks like a combination of bad ideas from apple (forced screen interface elements that are unnecessary) crossed with the kind of bad ideas that come out of microsoft (sizable windows on a miniature screen). I would not want to use an Android phone if it looked or operated like that.
