is there a difference between the ota 1.5 cupcake and the 1.5 jf version cause i heard that the ota version has bluetooth file tranfering but my phone doesnt seem to have that.

I've got the UK Cupcake, because I got tired of waiting. Got all stuff I need to flash back to RC29 and update all the way to RC33 from there so I can get the US Cupcake if I don't get the OTA. I assume I won't get it.

I think the news here goes through one of those 1990s style "when we feel like it" filters... Every G1 owner I know had it before it was posted here.

Are the admins even G1 owners anymore? I know all of the startup staff for the site jumped ship after launch... then the news came down dropping now to I think just when they're bored enough to copy and paste some andblog or engadget... You have to take this community sheerly for its members now, not at all as a news source...

Is it possible to get the Cupcake update on WiFi, without being on T-Mobile? I am no longer with T-Mobile due to lack of coverage in the area I just moved to, but have the G1 still and have WiFi on. I'd like to try and see the new features.

just got the ota update. pretty cool so far. small changes to the UI. small changes to the sms, call log - can change setting to auto rotate without installing ahome or open home, new calendar and music widget, on-screen keyboard, some changes to the browser (new tabs - history and most visited)....i'm pretty sure there's more but i'll have to play around with it more.
