you try pressing menu while looking at apps?
Change View?
Just noticed that on my phone in the Market app in My Downloads after getting Cupcake it's only displaying apps I've paid for. Yet my gf's phone still shows them all. Anyone else got this problem?

Yeah, it's because you PAID for them. They'll always be there. Just exercise your memory and find the others (free) apps.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried both of those now... still only paid apps
But the point is, on an identical phone with the same firmware, the non-paid apps are still showing - so this isn't normal behaviour as far as I can tell.
Not having the non-paid apps displayed in My Downloads means you can't see if there are updates for the non-paid apps (at least not easily).
I think I know what caused it. A couple of days ago I cleared the Market cache. That might have done it (as opposed to Cupcake).
It also seems if I download free apps then that new free app shows up in the list.
Does anyone know of a way of re-populating the My Downloads list without having to actually re-download all my free apps?
I think you have to redownload them. Shouldn't take too long considering the space of the G1 (yours is unrooted, so I'm sure you didn't fill it with junk).

Thanks xdavidn88. Yeah... I cleared the Market cache during a big tidy up of my phone as I'd got an error downloading a file in the browser complaining about insufficient space (yet I had 1.5GB free on the SD card!). So I figured it must be talking about internal memory... still had 20MB free but did a tidy up anyway (browser cache, market cache, unwanted apps, etc).
I kinda regret clearing the Market app data now lol.
Yeah - looks like I'll have to redownload them all. Sure - it won't take long, but it's the settings, high scores, etc, that will be the hassle.
I'm sure I've seen a way somewhere to reinstall an app (even the same version) keeping the data - just like it does in an update...
Aha! In fact it's dead easy... you just search for the app and install it again and it says it'll keep the settings/data... At least it did on the one I just tried.
