Are there wildcard characters that you can use when searching the market for Apps?

For example, I wanted to install the 'NetCounter' app, so figured a search for 'Net' would bring it up... how wrong could I be! Got a load of apps apart from NetCounter!

Tried a few more apps and found sometimes it works, sometimes not (e.g. search for 'papi' and it finds the papi games).

Not sure if anyone else gets this problem as well? Or if it's a setting that needs to be changed?

I noticed this problem quite a bit in the past, but have not noticed it recently.

I remember searching for droidsans hoping to find droidsans tweak tools and I found nothing months ago, but after my last firmware flash I wanted to reinstall it fresh and the search took me directly to it... :-/

It is possible it is searching the text in the description as well. So if the whole word you are searching for is in the write up, you get a result for that app.

I think it only searches the app name, and the search is severely lacking. You'd think being a Google product, they would've implemented a better search. I've noticed that if you just search for part of a title, it won't come up, you have to type it in exactly. And if you separate by a space when there is no space it won't find it either.
