thought this was interesting, not a whole lot of info but will be interested to see how that develops. I think he might be talking about tmobile market place tho, i don't see how tmo can charge developers on the android market place.

Does the App store for Android take a percentage? I don't think so...I know Apple takes 30% from developers. But i am pretty sure Google won't be taking a % from the developers.
If you sell through Android market, Google will take no percentage at all. There are also no bandwidth restrictions on the Android market. By the time paid apps are avaliable, the developer will work out payment of apps with the carrier (I think this is if you want the customer to pay through their cell phone bill) or the option of most likely google checkout (which will be subject to whatever fees google checkout charges, but it's very little most likely).
I think the charges the article currently refers to are for the T-mobile store which has nothing to do with Android Market.
