Just a quick warning about Craigsphone

Now I have nothing in particular against the app - yes it looks and feels almost exactly the same as mine - and most of the ideas are the same - but it is a pretty smooth app all the same. But I felt a couple of things should be brought up

1) It isnt really an app. Its a front end to webpages. These web pages area cached and as such the app will grow and grow.
2) All transactions you do go through an unencrypted web connection to the authors website where it then parses that info and hands it off to clist and gets the response , parses that and hands it back to you. That means at best your stuff is insecure if posting etc its just raw text across the net. At worst it means the author can basically read anything and everything you post and do - and in fact log this.

As I said I'm not against the method they used in particular - but they should make it known how the "app" works.

Sounds like they will be running into their own problems anyway.. bandwidth obviously.. and if it is parsed how you say then it is likely that CL will pick up on this and eventually ban their style of posting, or throw a wrench in their works every now and again to keep them from being able to make a profit off of their service..

Exactly - because its not really an app - its just a web service and webviews.
