When will 2.0 Eclair be coming to HTC Dream (G1) Dev Phones?

I'm seeing it everywhere BUT on the HTC Dream G1 Dev Phone site.

I'm confident "2.0" was just a mock up made for Verizon Droid to slander the Iphone.

I don't see why Google would add a Facebook app to it's OS but I can understand Verizon doing so.

I highly doubt android 2.0 is a ''mock up''. And isn't that the great thing about android? Companies who use it can make it look and act as they wish? I sure as hell don't need motoblur on my phone, considering I don't do social networks... but I'm sure motorola loved it on their phone. They didn't modify android to include motoblur... they customized it for a phone.

2.0 is a real version of android. The droid version is the only one out so far. Doesn't mean all the next versions will look like the droid version.

Considering we had 1.6 on our g1's 2 weeks prior before any OTA and it's been what 2 or 3 weeks since "2.0" the Droid has came out.
I'm suggesting at pointing out something between Verizon and Google.

I know companies can add there on UI ontop of Android, that can be closed source and yadda yadda. I don't think verizons droid 2.0 is the offical google 2.0

it will probably come out in the next month or so..I mean what phone company DOESN'T produce new phones around the holidays. They are probably waiting for more newer phones to release to the public.

but I personally don't care for 2.0..I mean my phone does me just fine the way it is now so I'm in no hurry for anything new.

All sources directly from Google that I've ever seen still indicate "early 2010" for everyone phone but the Droid, which already has it.

However, they did release Donut OTA about two weeks earlier than their stated date.

My guess would be December or January.

I believe the solution has already been found since certain dream/g1's have been announced to receive 2.0 . Like the belgian g1 . 2.0 and/or 2.1 will be on our g1's officially , its the future updates after that might not . 9mb could easily be chopped out , but I don't think that its even an issue anymore . Kind of like flogging a dead horse ( I remember an old pic someone posted here of a dead horse being flogged)
