Treo 800w cradle/charger works for G1?

Found these two links:

The first says G1 cradle/charger in the heading and shows a Treo 800w in the picture. The first link indicates that a second model is available that will also charge a spare battery. That is what the second link is. That page doesn't say anything about the G1. Only says Treo 800w in the title and picture.

The connector looks the same to me, but the Treo is more rounded on the bottom. I don't know if that would make a difference or not. Also, how similar are the batteries in terms of the spare batter charger?

So what do you guys think? The second model is only 27 bucks (I think that is reasonable compared to that 50 dollar job that is coming out in a week or two from Fommy).

Anyone have this cradle?

It should charge the phone fine as it has a min-USB connector. I would worry about the angle it is at though. The chin on the G1 puts the phone at a different angle so all the weight(i know it isn't much) would be put on the port at the botton. The point of a cradle is so you can push buttons and touch the screen withouth having to pick up the phone but that would just be adding more stress to the usb port cause I dont' think the rest of the phone would be supported by the cradle in anyway. Of course all of this may not matter if that support it shows is adjustable.

Well, I received it today, and I'm not 100% satisfied.
It works, charges my G1 and looks OK on my desk.
BUT: the G1 stands nearly straight up - not possible to lean it backwards which IMO would be the natural "stand".
