Yes 16gb is confirmed the largest right now but only class 2 is availible and alot fo people are waiting for the price to come down.

Best bet is to buy a 8gb microsd class 6 it will be fast work good and only cost u between 25-30 bucks

Yes and I would get an adapter and a card reader if you don't already have one a lot of times its slower transfering data through the device to the card. I already have my 16gb and its slow transfering but have a feeling it will be fine once the datas there

No, a microSD adapter is used for a microSD card, which the G1 does not have.

Edit. I misunderstood. The adapter is needed for use on a computer like others have said.

If you dont get an adapeter you can you use the USB cable that will come with the phone then, you simply enable the phone to become a storage device, and it will come up as a drive.

I got an 8 gig but you don't need the adapter. and it is expandable to 16gb micro sdhc
