SanDisk Class 8 Mobile Ultra 8GB SDHC

Does anyone know what the deal is with the Mobile Ultra type of microSDHC cards from SanDisk? Some guy claimed it performs noticeably better than normal Class 4s. Will it really improve the performance of the G1 if apps are installed on it?

Class 8?? I know nothing of this. I thought the highest was class 6. Time to do research!
