do you have to rip the USB cover off the phone with that one?

Like most docks for the g1 right now, I believe you will have to plug it into a computer to charge the phone and a wall outlet to charge the battery. One power source does not charge both. This is why I haven't bought a dock yet.

well unless you need to charge a second battery theres always the option of buying a usb to wall adapter so you dont have to plug it into a computer. thats what i shall be doing.

i always turn off my laptop or it will automatically go into hybernation so how would i charge using the usb lol

I don't mean to hijack the thread but I think that the samrozzi won't mind this question. is there any that you don't have to rip the USB cover off to use? and USB charging isn't a problem, I can plug it into my USB hub which is always powered, though USB and AC is preferred. Any suggestions.
