    Default Nexus One screen protector

Question for anybody with a Nexus One using a screen protector. I only found one company that sells it:

    http://www.amazon.com/Skinomi-TechSk...3277176&sr=8-5

    2 questions:

    1. anybody use this particular one? If so, is it good? It looks like you need to apply some liquid on it...very different than the ones I used on my G1 and mytouch.

    2. do you need it? i read somewhere that the droid's screen is unscratchable...and i assume the nexus is the same.

    Thanks!

I hope I did a bad job at applying it tonight or it's going to look better after a while.

The screen protector doesn't appear to have good, even adhesion. Almost no lint trapped, but there are one or two places.

The spray bottle seemed huge, but it ended up being just barely enough. I certainly can't take the screen protector back off to try to make it better.

I used a Boxwave clear on my AT&T Tilt. Will probably order one of those when they are available. At least you can take that one off, wash it, and scotch tape to reapply.

If you watch the youtube video on our site of the guy scratching his screen and back with a key, I don'y think a screen protector is needed.

That video is awesome and I am glad to know that I will be able to use my N1 naked and not worry about getting scratches to the screen and device
It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me

One problem I read about while researching for screen protectors for my N1 was the proximity sensor that is used when making a phone call. Some say that when they installed a screen protector, the N1 would 'sense' it as your face when you made a call rendering the multitasking functions useless while still in phone mode.

Anyone else experience this, or know how to avoid it. It seems that some screen protectors have a small cut at the top to allow the small LED light through. Maybe that is where the proximity sensor is, and that is what we need to look for in a screen protector?

    Any ideas?

I have the Skinomi screen protector and no issue with the proximity sensor.

I bought the Zagg screen protector and, although i feel better that it's protected just in case, it's a little foggy and i don't really care for the "feel" of it.

I tried that before, it's a very clear piece of protection for screens, visibiliity is kept very high much like without the film itself.
