Looking to buy an 8GB mem. card....

But what types should I be looking at? Are some better then other, if so why?

when you are looking at micro sd cards you will see them with a rating that will say

class 2
class 4
class 6

this indicates the transfer speed in MB's

so a 8gig class 6 card will be faster then say a 8gig class 2 card. but of course you pay for the faster one.

i picked up a sandisk 8gig SHDC class2 for $24 bucks at amazon. its good enough for the G1.

By the way SHDC means "Secure Digital High Capacity", cards of this type are 2gig and above and able to be formatted as fat32.

dkvitus you can pick up a 16gig now at amazon, its $107 but id wait a couple of weeks it may go down a bite say 75 80.
