    Default Killa 8GB Micro SDHC

8GB MICRO SECURE DIGITAL HIGH CAPACITY MOBILITY KIT
    • 8GB Micro SDHC
    • Speed Class 4
    • Made in Japan
    • Lifetime warranty

    Includes:
    • 1 Mini SD Adapter
    • 1 Full Size SD Adapter
    • 1 USB Reader

I bought this one yesterday. I don't think it's class 4 'cus I get around 20MB/s when testing in HD Tach. According to some users on Newegg, the Transcend Class 6 gets 16MB/s in HD Tach. Copying files using TeraCopy, I get ~10+ MB/s

Hey what's up! I'm new to the forums. This is my cherry pop post! I Just bought a kingston 8 gig from newegg last week for $15. They have the best deals and fastest shipping, but...It was DOA out the box. I never had problems with kingston memory cards before. I sent it back for a replacement. I should hopefully have a working one in a few days for my G1 that I'm getting Tuesday!!!! My contract will be over and hello new world!!!!

    The price seems too cheap.

Flash cards are cheap nowadays. 15-20 dollars for an 8GB is normal price.

/I'm not talking about BestBuy or CircuitCity, they are electronic stores for dummies.

Welcome to AC. I'm sure newegg will replace it. My old SD card dies after 4 months. They let me RMA the card and refund my money. The new one costs $30 less than what I paid. Newegg is superior in every way.

Thanks for the welcome! Yeah like I said, kingston usually have great products and newegg is definitely the place to order from. They are sending a new one. Gigs are insanely cheap now. It's crazy! That goodness the G1 has expandable memory.

IMO 8 gig would be a bit much for a "casual user"...if you just need something for a handful of songs and to store pictures...even a 2-4GB would suffice.

...although, if we get the ability to store market programs to the SD card...8GB would definitely be a good investment.

(plus the way prices have come down on flash storage...8GB is probably the best deal right now...wait another 6 months and 16GB will be down under $40.00)

I've been using this exact SD card for a month, without any problems!

    seems like a good deal.
