cases for phones with qwerty keyboards is hard.. otterbox has great cases, so try them out (kinda pricy, though, and i personally think they're kinda bulky and ugly). i'm a big fan of tpu cases, but i don't think a tpu case would work on a qwerty phone. go an ebay search and you should find some offbrand rubberized hard cases. those are probably your best bet, unfortunately. other than that, you could go with a full body shield, which would help with scratches, but wouldn't do crap against impact.
if you're looking for screen protectors/full body shields, check out bodyguardz, realook, zagg, best skins ever, etc. i did a pretty intense search when i got my hd2, and i settled on bodyguardz. it's nice, but it does have a slight orange peel effect. plus, it's starting to come off a bit. i've heard good things about realook, so that's probably the next brand i'm going to try. have fun with your new phone!
