Well, UPS man showed up for round two today to deliver the HTC 3-in-1 USB adapter (http://store.androidcommunity.com/co...-176--3571.htm) and the mini USB stereo adapter (http://store.androidcommunity.com/co...2-45--2373.htm) that I bought from our very own Android Market! As we speak I am currently charging my device from the wall, and listening to my music via the 3.5mm at the same time! I also used the mini USB stereo adapter and it works perfectly! The fit from the male end of my headphones and the female end of the adapter was a perfect fit and it stuck in there very snug, erasing the fear of mine that the headphones would come unplugged very easily. Great products and work as advertised!

What kind of headphones did you hook up? How is the sound compared to a good MP3 player? Any detail on sound quality appreciated.![]()
I hooked up some sennheiser noise canceling headphones that I stole from a concert I was the sound engineer for. The sound quality is better than the ipod nano I've been using. I mean, its not vinyl, but not too shabby either! If you're used to using any kind of mp3 player the quality on this is just as good or better! I am using the stock audio player, and I do wish that if another 3rd party player comes out it has control of EQ, and not just "pre-sets" like the iphone has, I want some real parametric EQ control.. Maybe thats just a pipe dream, who knows..

@FSUftblifan: Awesome, thanks... I wasn't sure what to think of the USB for sound setup, but looks like this will work out after all. My last HTC phone was the Apache Sprint PPC 6700 which had a 2.5mm headphone jack. Using an adapter amd same Sony MDR 7605 headphones, the sound was nowhere as good as the sound of my Creative Zen Vision M, so this is good news (presuming an iPod and then Zen have comparable sound quality).
I just ordered that same item today. I'm hoping to have it by friday so I can hook my phone up to my friend's car and we can listen to music.
Now I just need a usb stereo adaptor to a male 3.5mm so I can plug into my car aux input.
A question for the OP, What happens when you receive a call if you just have standard 3.5mm headphones plugged in to the 3 in 1 adapter? How about with the other adapter? Do you just use the mic on the phone or do you have to unplug the adapters from the G1?
that's an interesting question I never thought of.
and that made me ask, when you're listening to music, if you get a msg or a call do you hear that from the headphone?
I might have to order this. Maybe Ill use the G1 to replace my 3G Nano. Hmmm Maybe.

I have a dream! A HTC Dream a.k.a G1. Finally rooted.
