I think you may need a driver for SD card.
I think it's my SD card failing and not my ROM. I have CM 5.0.8 on my N1, complete with the latest Froyo radio. I realized there was a problem when my browser kept telling me I didn't have enough space to download anything even though there is about 5gb of free space on my card. I went into my camera and it says to insert an SD card but, I can browse my pictures just fine. I've rebooted and reinserted my SD card several times but, it hasn't worked. I tried wiping and starting from a fresh install of CM and still had the same problems. But, somethings like nandroid still work just fine. Is this an SD card going bad, or is there a reason that Android can't seem to write to my SD card but, my computer and recovery can?

I ended up solving this problem. A file must have corrupted or something. I backed up my SD card then formatted it. After I restored the files it was fine. It's working great again.

This is my first post and the reason I joined this forum
anyway,
I've had problems for a few weeks with the "Insert SD card" prompt. Now I am getting "damaged" SD card after I removed and reseated it.
What if I swap out SD cards with somebody that doesn't have a problem . Is it a safe thing to do?
