I keep asking this question and get no definitive reply..........

Is an 8g card the biggest one available that will work on our phone? Is there a compatible 16g?

The 16gb from sandisk is reported to work with the G1
I guess you can buy it at bestbuy

I am not going to spend the money on a 16g if it is only reported to work.

Google reps and other sites confirm that the 16gb is compatible with the G1 out of the box, but I doubt you'll see any confirmation from users for awhile, the 16GB being about $100+ right now, and only at Best Buy I believe.

I was going to buy one at amazon.com for $25 (free shipping as well) but I guess $4 dollars more and you get a class 6 card which means faster writing/reading than the amazon's class 4 card.

Why would I want a faster card on my phone? Maybe it will work better to play videos and record them in the future.
