did anyone buy a rechargeable portable charger?

The g1 battery usually lasts an entire day for me but there were a couple of times when my battery was very low and I wished I had an emergency charger.
I was looking into the Lenmar PowerPort and the Lenmar PowerPort mini and was wondering if they were compatible.

What is your experience with your charger?

I have 2 Motorola P790 rechargers. They are the best. No cables and you can charge them while you charge the phone.
T-Mobile stores now carry them ($20) but I got mine at Staples when the ran a Clearance on them. Ebay has them too.

i bought 1 from ebay in the uk. gives a good charge and nice to know it's in my jacket incase i run low. think it cost about 4.99 including p+p

Does the Motorola P790 always come with that little mini USB extension? If not, where can you buy those? That is the first time I had seen it pictured with that.

The only reason I had not purchased one is that I have a snap on protective case on my G1, as you can prolly see in the avatar pic, and it leaves the USB port recessed, so I was afraid that the Motorola recharger would not plug all the way in.

I have a Turbo Charge TB550. It holds two AA batteries and recharges the G1 fine. I use rechargeable batteries in it, which I figured out are slightly fatter than regular batteries, which I think caused a small catch that holds the batt cover on to break off, so now I have to use a rubber band to hold it on, but it still works.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried this with their G1? because i have a few motorola razr wall chargers that do not work with my G1 for some reason, and i wouldn't want to order one of these and have it do the same thing

I searched this forum and t-mobile's official forum and there were a couple of posts with people recommending this so I'm guessing it's pretty good.

This guy has a few in stock and selling new for 7.99 and free shipping. He/she seems like a very good seller to me.
