    Post Covers for Extended Batteries

I just got my new phone and I love it!

The problem I notice is that the battery life is pathetic. I see some pretty powerful upgrades for the battery, but they all require an extended case cover.

I was wondering if anyone saw some covers for the larger batteries in other colors, preferrably red.

FYI: i picked up one of those Seidio extended batteries for my G1, its pretty good it gets me about a day and a half to two days of juice. But the best part is you get to keep your back cover no need for a bigger one. Gotit at amazon for like $35.

There are two Seidio batteries....one that is the same form factor as the OEM battery but with a higher amp-hour rating....about 15%-20% more if I remember correctly.

Then there are the "extended" batteries that require (and usually come with) a larger back cover. Those have twice or more of the amp-hour rating of the OEM batteries. They last *significantly* longer under heavy usage.

I have one of the latter that I use when traveling, especially on a coast-to-coast flight followed by several hours of driving. I can play games and listen to music on the flight, then use the GPS for navigation when I get to the airport and have to drive further to my destination. All told it's about 8 hours of constant use....you definitely wouldn't get that out of the OEM battery.

I got the Seidio 1400 and as you said it has about 350 more amps than the stock battery. I get quite a bit more useage than the stock battery without the added dimensions of the 2400 battery.

In a sort of related question, does anyone know any cases that would fit the extended battery cover?

Agreed. Are there any covers for extended batteries...colors other than black, white, and bronze.
