car dock volume

I am sure this topic has been covered, but i cannot find it in the seaorch. When I plug my EVO into my new car dock, the volume drops by 30%. This means all volumes, audio, nav, speaker phone.... It's maddening that this would have been programed to begin with. What is it to Android how loud my nav is? I have tried a few of the car dock settings apps from market. They can help alter volumes with the dock settings, but they will not restore the original non-dock volume. Please note, I am not a developer. I am the typical user so the solution I would need would need to be 'easy.' thanks

I found this over at XDA, it will work if you have aquired root on your device:

"This might have been covered more than once here, but I was just curious why the fix for libaudiopolicy.so hasn't been implemented in most of the roms. If your not sure what I'm talking about, this fix keeps libaudiopolicy from enforcing a maximum volume of 75% when placed into a dock. I take no credit in this fix as the original post is here. I swap this out on every rom that I flash, but I know I'm surely not the only one who finds this to be an issue. If this is in the wrong place please move. Hope this helps someone.

Just extract the rar and push to /system/lib"
