car charger mount combo, any suggestions/reviews?

I'm checking out this mount for my car. I have a G2. My car has a cig lighter that's vertical, next to the gear shift. My concern here is that the thing will bob around while I'm driving because it'll have to curl like a C so I can see the phone while I'm driving. Like so:

On the other hand, it seems like it'd be cooler than a fan vent mount. Anyone have experience with this sort of mount that they'd like to share?

Yeah I had that, my brand new Fascinate fell down hit the dashboard and screen smacked my gear shifter - Never again.

Ouch! Did you go to a different mount? I'm trying to find an fm transmitter for my car and figured a mount + transmitter would be sweet.
