Plantronics Discovery 975 is what I got for my wife and I. Dual mic for noise canceling, portable charging dock/case, but my favorite of all is the ear bud. It's pretty secure and comfortable. Con: no audio like the jawbone icon.

For stereo bluetooth headset when I am on the way to work, I got Motorola S305. I use this most of the time. I've searched for a good stereo one for a long time. This is the best in this price range. Don't get the S9/HD, what a pos. I was happy with the old jaybird bluetooth ear bud when it worked, but the customer service was horrible. Took them 3 months to do a warranty replacement.

I have yet to purchase my bluetooth headset. I have narrowed my 2 options to the Jawbone Icon (Thinker) or the Plantronics Voyager 520.

Both of these units have received praise and good reviews. They both seem to have pros that outweigh any of their cons.

Does anyone have additional input specifically on these two options? Which would you choose?

I think the Icon is awesome because of the NoiseAssasin technology and the design is pretty cool... but at the same time I feel the design is too "designer" for me. I would almost rather have the Voyager 520 design.

At any rate, they both seem to perform well and have comparable specs on talk time, durability, etc etc.

The one concern I have about the Plantronics Voyager 520 is product age. That headset has been on the market for nearly 3 years and I am worried Plantronics will roll out a successor soon. I guess you cannot beat the price ($40) and there are tons of great reviews, so age should not really matter.
It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me

Jawbone's NoiseAssassin tech is outstanding - I'm still using my original Jawbone headset as it's the only headset that lets me have a conversation at 70mph with my roof down . With that in mind, I wouldn't worry about product age..

I have 8 high end BT headsets including the Motorols H9, H15, Jabra JX-10, Jawbone, a couple Plantronics , etc... The only unit that consistently works and can be heard in various conditions is the Voyager Pro. It is big and bulky looking but when you wear it, it is surprisingly comfortable. BTW it was on sale at best Buy for $79 when I was looking for a dock for my GF's Evo this weekend.

Are saying you are able to play music via BT into your earpiece since 2.2 upgrade? I have waiting for this feature. I am trying this now with a Plantronics Disco 975 and it's not playing music. Must I do something special?
