Others have a somewhat fragile wire between the connectors. This may look dorky, but it ain't gonna break. I have one and got one for my girlfriend's G1.
Lovely first post I know. Here is my dilemma. I just purchased my G1 and would like to have it last for awhile. I had a blackberry that for some reason one of the little pins in the USB port broke/fell off. I would like to use my phone for listening to music when I'm working out but I'm a little afraid that anything that sticks out of the phone will cause damage to the port. I like the one above but the problem is that it still sticks out. It would be nice if they made something that would kind of hug the body of the phone when its attached to the port. Maybe I'm being a little picky but I'd like to have my phone for longer than 6 months, which is how long the BB lasted.

Hate to resurrect a dead thread, but that JAVOedge adapter looks slightly big in the photos. Is it big enough to be uncomfortable in your pocket? Thanks.

I ordered the one posted in the OP a lil bit ago.
Broke in less than a week's worth of use.

Wish I would have seen this thread sooner.

I got the Javo one that Mr_Strat posted a while ago from Amazon, they had a 2-pack for 10 bucks or so. I'm very happy with them.

I just did a quick search and wasn't able to find them on Amazon anymore.

Default JAVOedge adaptor looks like a USB crank!

That's my concern about the JAVOedge adapter, also. It appears to me that you could put a lot of torque on the tiny USB connector when that thing is connected to headphones. IMO, it would be better to have a little cord on the adapter fail than to rip the connector out of the phone.

I'm looking at this one from Amazon:

This one seems to have good reviews from G1 owners at least. Anyone have it or have any feedback on it? It also has the additional USB port so you can charge at the same time which is nice compared to the JAVO one, and its cheaper too.

I ordered the JAVO one, so I'll be putting my thoughts up when I get my hands on it.
