Where to find some apps not in market?

Sorry if this has been asked. Notice that some apps do not show in market search like CallerID or Spelldial. Any thoughts.

I started a thread about this weeks ago, in it I mentioned having gotten tetris from somewhere other then the market.
No one offered any other apps or places for apps, but they did ask where I had gotten tetris (somewhere through ea.mobile)

I've found a couple of places but nothing that offered anything of note or seemed trustworthy,

I believe I downloaded a Yahtzee type game from here, which was supposed to cost $4.95, but I haven't paid yet. Guess it's a demo.

Can't vouch for the site, use at your own risk, but it seems legit to me.

Has some programs I've seen in the market also, as well as many that aren't in the market.

Handango.com has some Android apps available. You have to pay for all of them and, I believe, almost all of them are also available for free on the Android Market.

I've been looking because I'd be willing to pay for a quality application that writes and saves to Word doc files (with or without an on-screen keyboard) - like Docs-To-Go does for WinMobile and Palm devices.

Alas -- I've not found one out there anywhere.

No one (for $$ or for free) has more apps than the Android Market -- yet.
