When will flash be released for Android?

If you have a old Windows Mobile device download Skyfire, It has flash integrated in the browser.. Its pretty awesome

I won't pretend to know when it's coming out, but why would they have that demonstration with an already working version of flash on the G1 unless they planned on releasing it sooner or later? Just from that video you gotta figure that they already have some sort of beta version of flash 10 that works for the G1. I think and hope (lol at the same time) that it will come out within a year from now. The sooner the better though. I already love the phone without it but it would be 100 times better with it.

Why doesn't somebody just port the Gnash Flash plugin to the G1, or something like that? It's open-source, so we wouldn't have to wait for Adobe or Google.

Man, I've only had this phone (should I even call it that?) for a day, and I love it. Being able to hit all my favorite sites on the go is incredible. Just the thought of being able to watch videos on sites other than youtube or play some of my favorite Kongregate games on the way to work (or at work...) makes the extra money on my monthly bill more than worth it. I really do hope Flash makes it here within a month or two...

Flash games...why didn't I see that possibility? I've been so focused on the video aspect of it. Does this work on the skyfire browser? I still have my WinMo devices.

yes.. flash games is the main reason I want to see flash on this phone.

I am sure there are a lot of security issues regarding porting flash to the g1 but it would be nice if they had given us some sort of timeframe. Can someone who knows the guy who has the demo please leak a copy of it out plzkthx

Being a developer myself, I know well enough not to listen to dates.

I would be very surprised if flash is included on G1 any sooner than six months. I actually wouldn't be too surprised if it never makes it to the G1, really.
